OVERVIEW
Finucane and Smith are one of the world’s most innovative theatrical and cabaret performance groups, winning hearts and awards globally. Their work is supported by their annual fundraiser held at major donor the Sofitel Hotel Melbourne. Louise was invited to work with the group, creating exotic paper flowers for installation and gifts.
WHAT WE DID
Louise, Paperlab’s founder, enjoyed the creative freedom that this project provided. She created 38 varieties of dark exotic paper flower, with a total of 180 blooms. The flowers used luxurious Italian and German crepe papers, hand-painted and sculpted by Louise with custom gold stems.
These bespoke blooms were affixed to a metal garden arch that was installed at the Sofitel, Melbourne. The culmination of the event was the clipping of the flower arch, with the Finucane and Smith performers handing them to the guests at the end of the night.
