I was approached by the City of Greater Dandenong to take part in their Cultural Threads festival 2016 as an exhibiting artist. I created a visual display for Dandenong Library recycling old books into new art forms. The title of this book art installation was “And the stories still remain” and it explores diversity of language and story, amidst the common form of printed paper. By transforming the physical form and combining conflicting concepts, how do we create something new while retaining the original essence of the individual authors.
I also facilitated a book art workshop as part of the festival program which also formed part of Craft Victoria’s Craft Cubed 2016.
