OVERVIEW
TK Maxx is one of the largest clothing retailers in the United States, where they operate as TJ Maxx. To promote their launch in Australia, they wanted to create custom Christmas boxes to disguise gifts they would send to journalists and prominent bloggers under the campaign title “Christmas Under Wraps!”.
WHAT WE DID
There were many elements of this project that made it fun to work on. The box needed to hold a specific gift, so we needed to find a design that would hold the internal gift dimensions and weight while keeping within the Christmas theme. It also needed to be something we could flat-pack and send to Sydney for distribution. Through repeat prototyping we decided upon a custom turkey box.
Once designed and approved (with physical prototypes sent to Sydney) the design was custom cut and constructed to create 55 individual Christmas turkey mailer boxes complete with red satin ribbon. The finished mailers were then packaged and couriered to Sydney for the client to add the marketing material and gift. To ensure everything went to plan, we created a short video showing how to assemble and package the boxes.
