This workshop will cover the techniques behind creating your very own handbound book and show you How to Make a Book – Coptic Stitch – complete with visible coptic stitch spine and beautiful papers! The Coptic Stitch bookbinding method is used to create a book that has each page opening perfectly flat making it ideal for journals, visual diaries, portfolios, photo albums – the list is endless!

Throughout the workshop Paperlab’s bookbinding expert, Michelle Lackenby, will guide you through the step-by-step method and share the tips and tricks to create your own beautiful handmade hardcover book with a visible spine stitch. All papers and materials provided plus notes for you to continue your bookbinding practice at home.
