If you haven’t already noticed we are kinda obsessed with 3D paper art and sculpture.

We love the idea that such a simple and accessible medium such as paper can be transformed into incredibly complex objects of art or simple yet beautiful sculptures.

I’ve been meaning to write this post for a while now so I can share with you some of my favourite 3D paper art by some seriously talented people. So.. grab a cuppa and enjoy the journey!

In the world of fashion Zoe Bradley is THE master in 3D paper art. From window installations for luxury brands such as Louboutin to show pieces with icons like McQueen Zoe creates incredible pieces from you guessed it… paper! Oh what I wouldn’t give to spend a day in her presence and soak up just a smidgen of her genius.

Here are some of my personal faves :

Isn’t she incredible?! You can even own your very own piece of Zoe Bradley 3D paper art and sculpture… check out her website for more details.

Ok next up is the colourful and clever Zim & Zou. This fun duo based in France painstakingly create intricate 3D paper art that is often times filled with colourful whimsy and a cool retro vibe. With surgical precision and patience as a virtue these talented two make beautiful real life objects out of paper that make me smile and gasp “I can’t believe it’s just paper!”

Oh and be sure to watch this incredible video giving a bit of a ‘behind-the-scenes’ look at their creative process. It was for a recent  project titled Happy Planet and it really makes me HAPPY!

Another paper artist I really love is Linus Hui from Linus and the Feel Good Factory. I first discovered his 3D paper art whilst flicking through a copy of my Frankie magazine a while back. Linus creates some fun masks and party hats and his cheeky take on everything is so funny and refreshing! Oh and yes he models all his own work 🙂

Just check out his fun party hats from his “Linus knows how” and I’m sure you’ll see what I mean:

Last but not least is the outrageously talented Aimee Baldwin of Vegan Taxidermy. I interviewed Aimee a little while back on her creative process and incredible 3D paper art and sculpture skills. You can read all about her work here.

Her life like paper birds are lovingly handmade out of crepe paper and the finished product is truly jaw-dropping!
